Morcher Capsular Tension Rings
- Circular Expansion of Capsular Bags
- Resists Capsular Shrinkage
- Stablizes Conditions During Surgery
- Reduces Risk of Capsular Fibrosis
- Improves IOL Centration
Capsular Tension Rings improve the outcome of cataract surgery when the stability of the capsular bag is compromised, Weill-Marchesani syndrome, Marfan’s syndrome, homocysteinuria, and spherophakia. CTRs are implanted into the capsular bag with the aid of forceps, injectors, or traction sutures.
As the CTR is an open ring with a diameter larger than the bag itself, a CTR effectively stabilizes the capsular bag by exerting a mild centripetal pressure equally balanced all over the equatorial region of the bag.
Morcher has a comprehensive line of CTRs with 12.3, 13.0 and 14.5mm diameters. These rings can be manually implanted or can be used with the Geuder Eyejet injector.
