The RS-1000 Zoom Slit Lamp has expanded diagnostic applications in eye examination by using a powerful combination of unique zoom optics. A remarkably wide zoom ratio of 4.3X and a broad magnification range of 7.5X to 32.3X are available. In particular, wide angle photographs of the eye can be taken at lower magnifications. And the zoom optical system means that there is never any blackout during magnification change. The highest quality optics are essential for accurate diagnoses in eye examinations.

Wide Array of Filters

Four different filters including heat absorption, ND (28% transmission), red-free (green), and blue filters are installed in the illumination system. A  built-in UV cut filter works for all settings.

Omni-Directional Joystick

The omni-directional joystick controls the height adjustment, lateral and forward movements for easy alignment with the patient's eye. A convenient trigger button on the top activates the camera shutter for photography.

Wide 14mm Slit Illumination System

The RS-1000's bright, sharp slit images with a continuously adjustable 14mm slit width are ideal for examining the fit of contact lenses and for taking wide-area photographs of the eye. Also included are preset slit lengths ranging from pinpoint (0.2mm) up to 14mm, and a 1mm to 12mm continuously variable slit length. Illumination brightness is variable and a convenient boost switch is provided to raise illumination to peak level for a short period of time in order to prevent patient discomfort.
