Oculus Pentacam Anterior Segment Analysis - Cataract Model

  • Scheimpflug Imaging Of Anterior Segment
  • Zernike Analysis
  • Pentacam Nucleus Staging Module
  • Topometric Analysis
  • Pachymetric Analysis
  • Easy Comparisons

The Pentacam images the anterior segment of the eye by a rotating Scheimpflug camera measurement. This rotating process supplies pictures in three dimensions. The centre of the cornea is measured very precisely because of this rotational imaging process. The measurement process lasts less than two seconds and minute eye movements are captured and corrected simultaneously. By measuring 25,000 true elevation points, precise representation, repeatability and analysis are guaranteed.

The Cataract Model includes all of the functionality of the Basic Model with the following additions:

  • True Net Power Map - true corneal power, considering anterior and posterior surface
  • ACD Map - coloured map displaying the distance between endothelium/epithelium and iris/lens
  • Distance Measurement in Scheimpflug Image - manual measurement in any direction
  • Show 2 Exams - display with selectable maps to show right and left eye on one screen
  • Show 2 Exams Pachymetry - display of the corneal thickness progression for left and right eye
  • Show 2 Exams Topograpohy - display of topography and corneal asphericity including topography based keratoconus detection
  • Compare 4 Exams - compare function with difference calculation for every colored map
  • Pentacam Nucleus Staging and 3D Densitometry - quantification of the densitometry in 3 dimensions
  • Zernike Display - corneal wavefront of the anterior, posterior and whole cornea, incl. Z40 and HO-RMS
Modules and packages are available to add additional functionality to the system.
