Oculus Pentacam Anterior Segment Analysis - Refractive Model

  • Scheimpflug Imaging
  • Pachymetric Analysis
  • Multiple Exam Displays
  • Refractive Overview

The Pentacam images the anterior segment of the eye by a rotating Scheimpflug camera measurement. This rotating process supplies pictures in three dimensions. The centre of the cornea is measured very precisely because of this rotational imaging process. The measurement process lasts less than two seconds and minute eye movements are captured and corrected simultaneously. By measuring 25,000 true elevation points, precise representation, repeatability and analysis are guaranteed.

The Refractive Model includes all of the functionality of the Basic Model with the following additions:

  • Enhanced Elevation Maps – With various reference bodies
  • Refractive Overview – including pachymetric progression and topography based keratoconus detection
  • Pachymetric Display - corneal thickness progression for early keratoconus detection
  • 4 Maps Selectable - 4 free selectable maps can be displayed
  • Show 2 Exams - display with selectable maps to show right and left eye on one screen
  • Show 2 Exams Pachymetry - display of the corneal thickness progression for left and right eye
  • Show 2 Exams Topograpohy - display of topography and corneal asphericity including topography based keratoconus detection
  • Compare 4 Exams - compare function with difference calculation for every colored map
Modules and packages are available to add additional functionality to the system.
